One of our staff will work with you to develop an employment plan, and the steps to reach your goal.

Sutter County One Stop offers day and evening classes that are sure to fit your needs. We can help you get your GED so you can find the job you are looking for. Sutter County One Stop has training classes for medical careers, green careers and many more. We have ESL and the Workability II program. This program is available to persons with disabilities referred by the Department of Rehabilitation and located at the Sutter County One Stop.

Sutter County One stop is a resource for businesses! We can help promote your job vacancies and offer candidate screening. We have professional conference rooms available for conducting interviews. The continued education I received during my time here was invaluable in my pursuit of obtaining meaningful employment.

After losing my job of 15 years working in office administration I was not sure of what I was going to do. I decided if I were to have a better chance of re-employment I would need to keep up with my skills, so I looked into the continuing education programs offered at Sutter County One Stop. Being out of the job market for so long I first signed up for the "From Interview to Paycheck Workshop." Linda Baker taught me skills and techniques that would prove valuable in my search for employment. Next I signed up for a typing course in Linda Bozza's ROP class to enhance my office typing skills. Linda also recommended that I also sign up for current cutting edge Microsoft Office Computer Application courses and other office technology courses in order to have the essential skills needed for today's job market. The continued education I received during my time here was invaluable in my pursuit of obtaining meaningful employment. I want to thank all the Sutter County One Stop staff that helped me through what seemed like an endless journey but in the end I was successful in obtaining a continued career in office administration.

Thank you One Stop and WIA!

I started attending Sutter County One Stop not knowing what they could do for me. I thought I would just enroll in the Office Education class to do something productive with my spare time. I met many different diversities of people who I now call my friends. I learned about writing cover letters, creating resumes, interview tips and even got certified in different office skills such as Microsoft Word and Excel, keyboarding and filing. Thankfully I had WIA to help me pay for all of my classes and helped me out with financial needs. When I finished my classes WIA set me up with an internship to get experience in the Office Education field. I was offered a job at Local Driving School as soon as my internship ended. Sutter County One Stop helped me make my dream possible.

I became unemployed in 2009 and desired a career in the medical field as a Medical Assistant. The WIA program helped me make this dream possible, helping me with my books, clothes, etc. I received so much support from so many people like Mady, Chrissy and Geneva. I am forever grateful!

I have been searching for a job for almost 2 years. Particularly in the Yuba City area for the past 10 months. I was very unsuccessful in finding work, I heard of Sutter County One Stop on the radio and decided to stop by and check it out. The staff there are amazing, friendly, understanding and extremely helpful. The process was very simple, the testing for certain jobs very self-explanatory. I met with Sandi who looked over my resume, was able to recommend me to a particular job posting that met my qualifications and apply for the position. The next day I was contacted for an interview, and the following day I was offered the job! I would still be jobless if I didn’t come in to Sutter County One Stop, and for that I am forever grateful!!

When I was laid off in August of 2009 I came to the Sutter County One Stop for help in finding a new career. With the staff's help I was able to get into the Health Careers class to become a Medical Assistant. Now that I have done the class I can be in a career I love and want to be in.
